The day before
Your guide's WhatsApp contact reaches you the day before, and the guide tells you where to meet. Keep your phone and WhatsApp reachable on the evening itself.
At the pier
Aim to be at the meeting point at least 20 minutes before departure. An English-speaking host finds you there, and the boat cannot be held for anyone who arrives late.
Through the gate
The host guides you toward ticket validation and security and shows you where to board. That is the part of the evening the guided-entry ticket is built to smooth out.
On board
Choose between the indoor cabin and the open-air decks. Your guide stays with the group for the whole cruise, and guests describe being pointed to the best viewing spots.
On the river
The sailing lasts 45 to 50 minutes, with the Bund on one bank and Pudong on the other. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is a photo pass of about five minutes.
Back ashore
Boarding and getting off are at Shiliupu Dock. Starting and drop-off points can vary with the option you pick, so your voucher confirms them.
